Here is a sampling of the number of activities you can do in Hawaii.

Snorkeling

Famous Hanauma Bay State Park is located only 15 minutes away. Or, stay close to the house and snorkel along the Kahala coastline which offers a huge bay of waist deep water with sandy beaches. Rare fish from over 400 species are known to exist in the Bay. You can walk here from the house. Equipment included with rental.

Boogie Boarding:

Boogie boards are available at the house for you to play in the ocean. Challenging waves for experienced oceangoers in front of the home on the Diamond Head side (black point) or gentle, wading water on the Kahala side.

Surfing:

Out in front of the home for experienced surfers, or learn to surf in the gentle rolling waves of Waikiki Beach just 1.5 miles away. Surfing lessons and board rentals are available here. Famous big-wave surfing beaches like the Bonzai Pipeline and Waimea Bay are about 30 minutes away on the North Shore of the island.

Walking/Jogging

A fabulous oceanfront path goes all along the Kahala Coastline in one direction, and to Waikiki Beach in the other direction. Or, you can go on the 3 mile jog around Diamond Head . Access to hike up the Diamond Head peak is available 1/2 mile away. A fabulous 30 minute hike with spectacular views of awaiting you at the top!


Other Activities

There are too many activities to include them all here but a few you might want to try would include the zoo or the aquarium in Waikiki. Hike to Diamond Head, or hike up to the Waimea Bay waterfalls and swimming ponds.

Dole Plantation

You know Dole Pineapples, right? The main attraction here is the gift store where you can buy everything pineapple related! Learn about the variety of pineapples grown around the world and watch real pineapples grow in the garden!

Bishop's Museum

The Bishop's museum offers a fabulous historical view of the Hawaiian islands -- easily a full day excursion. Or, the Polynesian Cultural Center on the island offer dancing shows and cultural excursions. Parasailing, Windsurfing, Canoeing in the surf, guided scuba or snorkeling tours, dinner cruises on the ocean, skateboard parks, the Don Ho show, an authentic Hawaiian Luau, Horseback riding in the "country", Explore one of the many orchid or botanical gardens on the island, Jetskiing, Sailing, Shopping at the world famous Ala Moana Shopping Center (which is several city blocks long). Island hop to one of the other islands for a day or two (flights leave hourly to each of the other islands from Honolulu, Oahu).

USS Arizona Memorial

The USS Arizona was sunk in the battle at Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. Atop the sunken ship now lies the Arizona memorial, where you can visit to learn about the history of the ship and the battles of WWII. Get there early, because tickets run out early!

One of the world's most famous public beaches. Waikiki runs from Kuhio Beach to the Hilton Hawaiian Village.
